Tinnitus. It’s that annoying ringing in the ear that affects some 10% of all Americans. For some, it can only be heard in quiet places, for others it’s there all the time and can be quite debilitating too. There are various types of sounds that people hear, a constant high pitched sound, whooshing sounds, sounds of crickets are even a multitude of sounds going on at one time.
Unfortunately, there is no known cure for the condition. It’s described as a symptom of another condition, which if treated may reduce the impact of tinnitus.
For many though, nothing seems to work or help, but that doesn’t mean one should give up trying to search for an answer.
A 2015 study which looked at 87 chronic tinnitus sufferers, discovered that almost half had what’s known as cervicogenic tinnitus. This is tinnitus which originates from the neck. So chiropractic treatments may well help those conditions.
Chiropractic care has had some success in delivering help for some sufferers. Again, it depends on the nature of the condition, but cervical adjustments have been able to reduce or even eradicate some sufferers.
One tinnitus sufferer experienced relief in her condition when she had chiropractic adjustments. She suffered from neck pain and headaches too and found that the adjustments along with specific exercises did in fact help reduce her conditions.
