In the last article, Back and Body Medical New York talked about what to expect on your first visit here. Today, we will be telling you about some of the treatments we offer and what to expect during your first consultation.
If you are doing physical therapy, the physical therapist will do your evaluation at that time which may consist of asking question and a physical evaluation. During that same time, your X-Rays will be viewed by all of the doctors that are currently in the office.
If you chose to do so after physical therapy, you will meet with the acupuncturist for evaluation, and they will also perform the therapy at that time.
If you had X-Rays taken, we will answer any questions you have about the imaging. At this point, you would be escorted back into the room to receive chiropractic care if you wish to do so.
We will then go over a care plan with you to discuss what we need to do to help you get better, and how often we need to see you. This is not just about then frequency here, but what else you have to do in order to help yourself.
If there are things that make your problem worse, we need to discuss that. Whether this be changing your sitting positions in the office, applying your exercises, or changing anything else that is adding to your pain.
